Ashley Tisdale -Masquerade
(Digital Single/Out Now!)
Ashley is following a trend of releasing digital singles before the album is being released to promote the album. "Masquerade" is said to be the second single overall but also the first one to be released on itunes prior the album, with songs like "Acting Out" to be released soon. "Masquerade" is agressive Pop/Rock uptempo with mouthful of lyrics and catchy chorus, and it's relatives could be songs like "Fly on the Wall" by Miley Cyrus and "La La" by Ashlee Simpson. Ashley is musically following the style that Ashlee Simpson, Lindsay Lohan and Hilary Duff trusted for few years back and surprisingly it really fits Ashley pretty well. The song is catchy and great one to promote the album's list of potential chorus's and fantastic melodies spicied with Ashley's risky vocals. She is better vocalist that we ever though she was. "Masquerade" isn't though a anthem that will be glued to the airways for the years to come, but it's instant and you'll enjoy it while it lasts. Anyway, great track and hopefully promotion and video clip will follow soon.

David Guetta ft. Kelly Rowland -When Love Takes Over
(Digital Single/Out Now!)
Started with simple but darn catchy piano melody, growing up to be hitlicious dance-anthem with Kelly Rowland's beautiful vocals that aren't luckily produced to the max, instead Kelly sings with free notes and with beautiful soulfullness. While the song can be judged as pretty usual dance-track with nothing new, the track has huge potential that opens up with more spins on the player - it's quite a grower! It's already #1 in UK and on Top 10 all over the world, so there is no denying how this song really impacts well on us and what a beautiful, refreshing summer-anthem it is. Kelly does have those for every summer, right? Work it girl!
9/10
Katy Perry -Waking up in Vegas
(CD/Digital out Now)
Katy Perry released three fantastic, diffirent singles to kick off her career in style. "Hot'n Cold" remains as some of the most played songs in a long time, on my ipod as well as in Radio stations. Her new effort to promote her debut is called "Waking up in Vegas" and as colourful and good her video clip and cover art for the song are, there is something missing from the song itself. Pretty generic verses and chorus fall short from her previous unforgettable melodies and chorus's. The whole track worns out quite quickly and doesn't stick into your head that well. All in all it's pretty forgettable track that makes us think Katy made a mistake by giving "I Do Not Hook Up" for Kelly Clarkson, even though Kelly didn't make it a huge hit herself. It's still miles better than this Katy's fourth single. Hopefully Katy is able to re-invent herself and doesn't fail with her next album, she's a lot of fun and diffirent. Maybe that was exactly why this single doesn't impress.
5/10
The Saturdays -Work
(UK CD Out now!)
The Saturdays are one Pop-train moving on with full force! Their fifth single "Work" has just been released and it's pretty danceable Pop-gem with strong vocals. Sexy, darker video for "Work" is playing on TV in UK and girls are on their tour right now as well as working on their next album to be released on fall. "Work" is fantastic song, already planned as a single before "Just Can't Get Enough" that peaked at #2 in UK charts. It's very unpredictable to say what'll happen with this single, it deserves at least Top 5 position and will be top 10 single, but anything can happen at this point. The Sats will score pretty potential hit out of this for sure though and there is no denying how great the song is - although the fans probably are dead bored with the song already from playing it hundreds of times since the album was released.
8½/10
Britney Spears -Radar
(UK release: August 10th)
Britney Spears is making a smart and dumb move at the same time. "Radar" that was supposed to be 4th single from "Blackout" is now 4th release from "Circus", promoting both albums at the same time. The label is claimed to be choosing this instead of a new, "Circus" track is because there is a contract behind the song that is now being fulfilled with a single release. As for the song itself, "Radar" is probably the safest choise from the album at this point, while "If U Seek Amy" didn't make as strong impact as it was expected to after controvercy of the lyrics brought hype around the release. "Radar" is electric Pop-song and probably the most friendliest choise for the dancefloors and dance charts to bring Britney back to more electric sounds. It's catchy and edgy track that'll for sure be a hit, if promotion and a video will be well done. The song has already made it's debut's on charts with a digital downloads being rather high when "Blackout" was released in 2007 and again in 2008 due the promotional/digital release from "Blackout" and now gaining a lot of airplay everywhere in 2009. So it should be safe to say, the song won't be passing by unnoticed.
9/10
Mariah Carey -Obsessed
(TBA)
Mariah Carey scores again! Her catchy, bitchy song with genious lyrics (obviously directed to rapper Eminem) will obviously be a hit and will probably have another sarcastic music-video directed to it. While Carey has no changes to her musical style whatsoever, the song is safely said better than any of her latest singles before this and after "Touch my Body", that had some potential and has more edge than most of her late releases. Hopefully the album will be more edgy and less of something we've heard from her before billion times already. The song is all about the strong beats, meeting Mariah's heavily autotuned vocals and confident attitude that is all over the brilliant lyrics that will cause a controvercy around the drama between Mimi and E. As much as urban tracks like this fit to Mariah, she should try something new. Unfortunately the shine of this single fades out too soon, so hopefully Carey has something even better in store for us!

"So after I'd finished all the promotion for 'High School Musical 3' I dyed my hair back to its original color. I'd been a blonde for five years; Disney wanted us to be those characters. But the new songs I was working on felt edgier, sort of back to how I was before 'High School Musical.' I wanted to show people a side of me they haven't seen before."
Tisdale accomplishes that -- well, sort of -- on "Guilty Pleasure," due July 28 from Warner Bros. Like her 2007 debut, "Headstrong" (which, according to Nielsen SoundScan, has sold 471,000 copies in the United States), the new 14-track set offers plenty of catchy choruses and lyrics about boys.
But with songwriting and production credits from "American Idol" judge Kara DioGuardi, among others, "Guilty Pleasure" is a more mature, guitar-driven outing than the dance-pop "Headstrong." In the opener, "Acting Out," she promises to "break these chains" over driving bubble-punk drums, while the lead single, "It's Alright, It's OK," could be the younger sister of Pink's "So What."
"A lot of the songs on the album are about survival and staying strong," says Tisdale, who co-wrote four cuts. "I really wanted it to be a statement and a reflection of what I've been through over the past year and how I've grown up."
Once "Guilty Pleasure" is out, Tisdale says she hopes to tour the United States and Europe (where the set was released earlier this month). "This album is so important to me," she says. "I really want to support it as much as I can. You put your heart and soul into something and it makes you a little bit vulnerable. It is who I am -- hopefully people will like that."

Also, some new tour news from BritBrit. Kristinia DeBarge is set to join Ciara on the North American leg of Spears' Circus Tour, starting on August 20th. Also, new boyband One Call will be joining the tour on fall, while there isn't any confirmation about rest of the tour dates in europe having any sort of support acts. European tour dates have already started but the next tour date that will reveal the brand new changes is Paris on 4th of July and sources say she will be doing at least a couple of new songs in the show, not just one.

One of the saddest things has happened (the reason to post this probably saddest song on earth, "Earth Song"). Michael Jackson, King of Pop has died. LA Times confirms the news after TMZ posted the reports about it.
"Michael Jackson was pronounced dead by doctors this afternoon after arriving at a hospital in a deep coma, city and law enforcement sources told The Times."
EDIT: BBC officially confirmed this.
He was suppose to kick off his last tour from London in two weeks!

Official Music Video of the surprisingly good song "Never Leave You" from Tinchy Stryder featuring Amelle Berrabah from the Sugababes. It's like R&B version of "About You Now" with completely diffirent melody, but somehow it just reminds the hit-single a bit with it's soft electro beats. Amelle completely steals the show as expected and her vocals are super-smooth and beautiful. Definately worth of watching!
"Never Leave You" is released on August 13th, so go and get it when it's out!

Britney has also been busy rehearsing a new number to be unveiled on the rest of the European leg starting in Paris on July 4th. There has been inside sources claiming it's "Mannequin", but according to new rumours it can also be "Kill the Lights" that is planned to be released somehow at some point with animated video to be published for the fans.

The band took a short hiatus following the success of their 2005 album PCD and Scherzinger began work on her own record, titled Her Name Is Nicole. But the album was never released, and several of the tracks written for the project ended up being recorded for the latest Pussycat Dolls album, "Doll Domination". Scherzinger subsequently claimed it was her own decision to quit the project and focus on the band, but Hilson - who wrote a track for the solo album - insists industry bosses forced the singer back to the girl group.
She says, "I wrote Alienated, one of the songs on my album, for Nicole's solo project. It was a good album but she decided to go back to the Dolls instead of releasing it, well she was kinda forced to I think. It was a good situation for me as I fell in love with that song, so I got to keep it."
Rumours the Pussycat Dolls are heading for a full time split erupted earlier this year (09) after their last two singles were released under the name The Pussycat Dolls featuring Nicole Scherzinger. The group themselves have denied the rumours and have underlined that the group is finnishing the tour but they'll remain as a group.
They still have one album still to record according to their contract and Nicole has said she records songs for PCD and her solo record, but she has no idea yet when the solo effort will be finnished and pushed out. Latest rumours say that instead of "Doll Domination 2.0", US and Canada would get "Mini Collection" just like UK release, later on in July. But so far this has been unconfirmed by the label.
About the article itself, I think Keri Hilson could be right. I think no-one is surprised over this statement and the allegation of Nicole being pushed back to PCD. It's been quite visible throughout this era, unfortunately.

On the negative side, two new Backstreet Boys songs have leaked online from the new album sessions. Boys and producers have been stunned and dissapointed with the leaks and want to remain the material, especially the unfinnished material under wraps and boys have asked the fans to report and delete links from the songs that weren't planned to leak. It has already caused a consideration of the album being pushed back.
Yet untitled album is set to be released worldwide, with a planned release date on the last week of september. Boys have said they'll confirm the dates and titles later on, within few weeks.

MuchMusic Video Awards of this year was proadcasted last night and Miss Lady Gaga totally did the best performance of the night, showing exactly why she skyrocketed to fame with her debut album. Too bad the video itself is out of sync. Her vocals were top notch once again and her outfit meeting the crazy choreography was just awsome! Funny moment was seen when the camera men obviously didn't know what the hell they were doing. Somewhere before five minutes. And then again in 30 seconds. DAMN! So unprofessional. Readers told us this wasn't the case in the actual TV proadcast, but what was this? Anyway, Gaga worked it! Fantastic performance!
Show those haters girl! Kelly Clarkson performing "My Life Would Suck without You". Her vocals were fine again, and she looked quite good actually. Great job! By the way, Joseph Kahn has just shot a video with Kelly Clarkson, most likely to her next single "Already Gone". Kahn has previously done videos for Lady Gaga, Pussycat Dolls and Britney Spears. Can't wait for that!
Black Eyed Peas performing their #1 hit "Boom Boom Pow". While BEP always have great energy on stage, their vocals never meet the expectations. This was although pretty good performance, pretty enjoyable. Although the Quality could've been better. Check out the pictures from the award show with stars like Girlicious (Now as a trio) walking in the red carpet.

P!nk and her new video for "Funhouse", fourth single from the album with same title. The video is pretty much completely diffirent from the idea that I had in mind for the video. It starts up in a desert, Pink walking in a burning house and ends with Pink driving away with her motorcycle. Something is definately missing from this video, especially in comparison to her three previous videos that were pretty much perfection. Anyway, "Funhouse" is fantastic choise for UK and Europe, where australia's release is "Bad influence". The album holds up to many potential single choises, so we'll be just waiting for "It's all your fault" to be released. It's fantastic, catchy Pop/rock piece that would kill the radio charts.

-Avril Lavigne's new frangrance is called "Black Star" and the parfume's official site confirms that she's gonna do her next world tour in spring 2010. Avril will release her 4th record at the end of this year, with the first single being premiered in fall.
-The Saturdays will release "Work" as a CD-single at the end of the month in UK as two-track single. There will be a B-side called "Unofficial" that has leaked as a minute-long clip and a early demo version of the song is on youtube. "Unofficial" was once Vanessa's solo track and she wrote it back when she was teenager. New studio-version of the track is described to be soulful ballad with strong R&B influences and with quite diffirent sound that we have heard from them before. Right now the girls are on tour, but their second album is being released later this year.

The 'Umbrella' singer has been advising the British trio - who have signed a record deal with Jay-Z's Roc-a-Fella label - while they are recording in America and has struck up such a close bond with the 'Ugly' stars, they have grown to regard her as part of the band.
Singer Keisha Buchanan - who makes up the group with Amelle Berrabah and Heidi Range - told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "We keep missing Jay-Z. Every time we're gonna hook up he's off partying with Diddy or someone, but Rihanna has been a huge help to us. She's been like our fourth members, listening to all our songs and saying what she liked and what she didn't."
Sugababes are getting ready to reveal their brand new single in next coming weeks. Stay tuned!
Lindsay Lohan, take notes! Ashley Tisdale performing her new single "Masquerade" live in GMA, showing off her well improved vocals since her debut. "Masquerade" is officially a second single from "Guilty Pleasure", that is packed with potential hits! if you don't own it yet, go and get it! Ash looked fantastic and her vocals were pretty awsome, even if her vocals in chorus were partly pitchy in some points. Good second single too! "Cranck It Up" NEEDS to be 3rd single!

The Saturdays performing "Work" in the GMTV morning show. Too bad Mollie pretty much never hits the right notes in the intro, but she was okay. Girls were bit rusty vocally that morning, weren't they? Anyway, they were good. Some of the girls seemed bit uncomfortable and clumsy with their sexual moves too, especially Mollie who has said she has never felt "sexy", so she struggles with that. Also, Frankies super-short hair has luckily grown a bit, which is all good. Never liked her short hair anyway.
Remember to "Work" the girls up to the Top 5 in UK by downloading the song already and buying the single, when it's out on 29th of June!
Sophie-Ellis Bextor also performed her new single, "Heartbreaker makes me a Dancer" in GMTV. In the song, she teamed up with Freemasons and made it into potential huge hit, hopefully it will be one. Sophie performed it quite well, even if her posh, fragile voice doesn't give out much to go with. She looked awsome, she always does and luckily she doesn't look as anorexic as she did before the pregnancy. Good job, Soph!

VipMedia recommends a new girlgroup called Girls can't catch and especially their debut single "Keep your head up" that is utterly fabulous! Their song is musically something like Girls Aloud and The Saturdays but with diffirent electro edge and visually they look like mixture of Atomic Kitten and The Saturdays. The song is very catchy and electric, especially the chorus that really hits you! The girls are still quite new and young and their label Fascination seems to produce as many girlgroups out there than possible. The same label is behind The Saturdays and Girls Aloud, that GCC supported on their last tour. Take a look, you'll love it!

Beautiful, brand new video from Beyonce called "Broken-hearted Girl". One of the favourites from the album and definately the third best ballad from it. The video starts up typically as black & White clip with beach shots, but suddenly from the halfway moves to be quite beautiful and well edited video. Fits well to the song itself and it's not as boring as you could predict. Great that the video starts up with B&W Set but gets colours later on too. Too bad that the song or the video aren't her best work and you start to get annoyed from the predictable B&W Sets. "Sweet Dreams" video should arrive at any minute!

-While PCD double the trouble in UK Charts, US Charts are well dominated by Lady Gaga. She has three singles inside Top 30, "Poker Face" #5, "LoveGame" #6 and "Just Dance" sitting firmly at #29, while "Paparazzi" makes it debut in UK at #13 and Australia's official charts at #27.

Jeanette makes a great change for German TV-Shows to actually sing live instead of mimimg. She performs her new single "Material Boy" that unfortunately is just #43 on German Single charts. Take That on Friday Night, performing their new single "Said it All" live. Great vocals and I love the song, but this performance truly makes me doubt about this song becoming a hit. For the first time, this song seems bit boring and too long. I love the song, so hopefully I'm wrong. It's the best one on the album. But we'll see what'll happen. Anyway, vocally fantastic performance. Not their sharpest, but good!

We are so late with this, but due the busy personal life we didn't want to release videos in here without a proper review, so no rushing out was needed. Jordin Sparks finally releases a strong, iconic song that American Idol should always have. This new song/video "Battlefield" is the best thing since "Tattoo", but miles better and could have been Rihanna's super-hit as well. It's Alright, It's Ok
Video and the song work pretty well, when you get past the "So What" vibe that comes in the chorus. It's catchy and good first single, but the failed promotion that never came as a surprise to me, really ruined the success that it should've recieved.
Acting Out
The song kicks off with dramatic strings but the cheesyness shortly fades away when the first verse starts, it's actually pretty good Pop/Rock effort and good example of what the album has to offer - String of potential tracks for people who loved Lindsay Lohan's, Hilary Duff's and Ashlee Simpson's previous Pop/Rock influenced albums, that I really loved as well. Fun lyrics and catchy melody make this song very enjoyable.
Masquerade
Part 2 for brilliant "Fly on the Wall" from Miley Cyrus, but in the good way without being anything like it. This is reported to be her second single released before the album is being released. Again very catchy melody and great chorus.
Overrated
Great lyrics and good song! Just what this album needed, strong melodies and catchy choruses that really are huge step up for Ashley as an artist. Melodycally it pretty much continues where the first single left off. Strong vocals again do well with the melody.
How Do you love Somebody
Tradig lyrics, well written and strong song with great chorus. Definately the best tracks from the record. Pretty much diffirent from the rest of the songs, but in a good way. The title of the song could let you expect a ballad, but it's anything but. Great job Ash!
What If
One quite impressive ballad from the album, a strong effort from Miss. Tisdale. Lyrics and the fantastic melody quickly move from being just average to grow into quite lovely song with lot of potential. This isn't any Piano-ballad with Ashley singing softly and song (like the other ballad in the album) being rather predictable, it actually is quite a musical grow-up for her.
Crank it Up
Good bridge from her debut album to this record, Pop with urban influences. Fantastic song actually, definately digging this one! It makes me miss her previous album, how it never met the potential she could've get out from the music style of it.
Go and get the album when it comes out to hear the rest of this Pop/Rock Gem!

Pretty interesting leak, Madonna's unreleased video for "Miles Away". Sources say this video was suppose to be airing when the single was released but while the song didn't make much impact in the charts, her label thought a live video wouldn't make much diffirence and they scrapped it. So, basically the rumours about live-video were true and there was a video all along. Too bad the song flopped that hard and even without any video. The video is not that bad for a live video, but it's a bit boring. This is said to be included on the upcoming live DVD release, but who knows.

Here is a video of Kelly Clarkson performing her next hit "Already Gone" in Australian Nova 69.9 Radio studios. People should make a three minute break from their shallow lives and watch this video and appreciate her real, raw talent instead of critizing her of her weight gaining. "Already Gone" is breathtaking track as a studio version and it's still heartbreaking with gorgeous live vocals. Wow Kelly, just keep on doing what you do the best. Making us cry with your beautiful vocals and rocking out with catchiest up-tempo numbers. Kelly has hinted "If I Can't Have You" being the fourth single, and if it'll happen we must say this is her best round of singles yet. If we don't count that quite decent, underwhealming second single "I Do Not Hook Up" that could've stayed with Katy Perry so she could've had another hit.

Black Eyed peas and their new video for "I Gotta Feeling". After billion times trying to post this with youtube links that don't work, we finally found another good link. The video itself is all about having good time and party. Fergie looks pretty good with her new brunette hair, but it makes her little older, doesn't it? The song and the video are both good, nothing mind blowing but very entertaining. This song could be another huge hit for them, after "Boom Boom Pow" actually quite surprisingly jumped to the top spot of the charts and has continued domination of US Charts for nine weeks already! This is better song though, than the repeative "Boom Boom Pow".

Will Kelly Rowland continue as a Dance artist? After huge dance-hit "Work" in 2007, she continues to move our hips with a collaboration with David Guetta called "When Love Takes Over" that is pretty awsome. Kelly is claimed to be considering to take this direction with her next album, so who knows? "When Love Takes Over" song and video are pretty usual as for this genre, but it works pretty well and Kelly looks absolutely stunning. Don't know if this will be a huge hit, but some kind of a hit for sure.
Opinions?

Queensberry performing "Too Young" in Dome. Great routine for such Pop-gem, but such shame that they mimed it. Although the vocals are pretty hard for anyone. Remember to purcahase their new single and support the girls and make this their biggest hit to date that it is already becoming!
Another german star, Jeanette performing her new single "Material Boy" in Dome but she performed it live to a backing track. Somewhere in second verse it sounds like she messes up with this shorter live edit. Too bad that they torned this song into pieces with this very short edit, it's fantastic song.

Girls Aloud have released fantastic, pretty much right singles so far but they've left fantastic songs unreleased too. After three singles released from "Tangled Up", they continued to the tour and didn't release 4th single from the album. "Girl Overboard" is one jumpin' hot club-track that is great mixture of "Something Kinda Oooh" and "Unotouchable", throwing in fantastic chorus that will be stuck in your head for hours. The video for it could've been one of their best too! To left this awsome potential hit unreleased is truly a shame.

A-Teens was one of the best Pop-groups of 2000-century and they had good share of hits charting all over the world. Four swedish kids first formed a group to perform cover versions of ABBA hits and then continued to their orginal material. One of their best songs, "Closer to Perfection" was never materialized as a single, although it had obvious potential. Rumours are that it was planned to be released at some point, but we'll never know the truth now. This Pop-gem has electric edge and absolutely beautiful chorus. Don't skip this one, if you haven't heard it yet. If only this would've been released, what a true Pop-hit!

Britney's "Blackout" was pretty much her best album. After the biggest hype around her new album "Circus" has gone away, we can safely say that "Blackout" is her best record, edgy and full of hits. Mixture of electric pop, R&B influenced bangers and unforgettable melodies. One of the best songs on the album, "Toy Soldier" was such strong effort that it shortly became fan-favourite of the album to be released at any point. Unfortunately only three official singles and one Promo single was released with Britney being unable to promote the record in any way. And this song was unfortunate to be left unreleased. One of the biggest mistakes of her career. But then again, it's an album full of single-choises and half of the plans were scrapped due her mental state. Unfortunately.

Here is Germany's biggest girlgroup Monrose performing Medley of biggest female-hits at VIVA Comet 2009 awards. The girls took the stage first as solo's performing "I kissed a girl" by Katy Perry, "Just dance" by Lady Gaga, "If I were a boy" by Beyonce and continued climbing together on main stage performing bits of "So what" by P!nk. Refreshing nice medley they did there for the award show, nice to see them on stage again, even if they didn't have their new single to premiere just yet. The girls obviously mimed the performance but it was all good and pretty usual for German TV-performances.
Monrose are recording their 4th album and releasing their first single possibly in early fall.

"Battelfield" is catchy and powerful song full of potential and the video is fully supporting the hugeness of the song itself, it's beautiful and strong effort. Great job Jordin! I'm a fan!

Right now we are excited for her upcoming video/single for GH.

Here's the full intro from the Britney Spears "Circus" Tour. Good to see the two seconds of Britney there while the skank Perez dominated the video. Too bad the sound is bit off. She has already performed twice on her UK Tour and previewed the current changes of slightly remixed songs, new outfits but yet there is no new songs, as it was rumoured. Sources claim there will be another song or two added to the tour soon, but it's still unconfirmed.
And remember to look for the review of ours, when VipMedia Goes Live on 16th of July.
And by the way, There will be a Live DVD of "Circus".
